Review procedure

All articles, submitted to the editorial board, are reviewed. The review procedure is focused on the most objective content assessment of a scientific article, determining its compliance with the requirements of the journal and provides a comprehensive analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the article. Only those articles that are scientifically valuable and contribute to the solution of current educational problems and tasks are accepted for publication.

Review stages:

  1. The author submits an article that meets the requirements of the journal to the editorial board.
  2. The article is checked for anti-plagiarism. The degree of uniqueness of the author's text is determined using the  appropriate software for all articles submitted for review.
  3. All submitted to the editorial board manuscripts are sent to two reviewers according to the profile The Editor-in-Chief appoints reviewers. Some articles of prominent scientists, as well as specially invited articles may be exempted from the standard review procedure according to the decision of the Editor-in-Chief.
  4. Both members of the editorial board of a scientific journal and highly qualified specialists who have profound professional knowledge and experience in a specific scientific field may act as article reviewers.
  5. As a rule, the reviewer makes a conclusion about the publication possibility of the article (fills in a standardized form that contains the final recommendations) within 14 days.
  6. Reviewing is conducted confidentially on the principles of double-blind reviewing (two-way "blind" reviewing, when neither the author nor the reviewer know about each other). The interaction between the author and the reviewers takes place through the journal publishing editor.
  7. If the reviewer indicates the need to make certain adjustments to the article, the article is sent to the author with a proposal to take the comments into account during the preparation of an updated version of the article or to refute them with arguments. The author adds a letter to the revised article, which contains answers to all comments and explains all the changes that were made in the article. The corrected version is re-submitted to the reviewer to make a decision and prepare a motivated conclusion on the publication possibility.
  8. The final decision on the publication possibility and expediency is made by the Editor-in-Chief, and if it is necessary - by a meeting of the editorial board as a whole.

The main purpose of the review procedure is to cut cases of poor research practice and to ensure the coordination and balance of interests of authors, readers, the editorial board, reviewers and the institution where the research was conducted. Reviewers evaluate the theoretical and methodological level of the article, its practical value and scientific significance. In addition, reviewers determine the compliance of the article with the principles of ethics in scientific publications and provide recommendations for eliminating cases of their violation.

Copyright protection

It means that the information about the article (terms of receiving, content, stages and features of reviewing, reviewers' comments and the final decision on publication) is not transmitted to anyone but the authors and reviewers. Violation of this requirement is possible only in the presence of signs or allegations of inaccuracy or falsification of the article materials. With the consent (desire) of the authors and reviewers, the reviewers' comments may be published together with the article. In any case, the author of the peer-reviewed work is given the opportunity to read the text of the review, in particular if he does not agree with the conclusions of the reviewer.
