CONDITIONS OF SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF ADOLESCENTS WITH DISABILITIES

Abstract

The urgency of the research topic is due to the fact that today there is a tendency to increase the number
of children with disabilities due to economic, environmental, social and other reasons. The degree

of expression of deviations in the psychophysical development of children is diverse and for their correction
and compensation requires different content and organizational forms of psychological and pedagogical
work.
The article states that the possibility of successful personality development is determined by various
conditions and factors, such as age, state of health, individual characteristics, the strength of family ties,
etc. For teenagers with disabilities, the social system consists mainly of peers and adults with whom they
often communicate and the nature of these social ties has its own specifics.
The article is devoted to the problem of the disclosure of the conditions of socio-psychological development
of adolescents with disabilities. The isolation of conditions affecting the socio-psychological development
of adolescents will allow to plan the directions of psycho-correction and correction-compensatory work
with adolescents with disabilities.
The author highlights the internal and external conditions of social and psychological development
of adolescents with disabilities. The internal individual-psychological conditions include the nature
of psychophysical disorders and crisis phenomena in adolescence. External psychological and pedagogical
conditions are social institutions, which include the family, school and peer group.
The article states that all conditions are interrelated and, depending on the force of influence of a given
situation, there is the development of the personality of adolescents with disabilities.
The author notes that the psychological and pedagogical aspects of the attitude of teachers and parents
to the personality of an adolescent with disabilities are: to accept him as he is; tolerance in relation to peculiar
features of his character, manner of behavior, etc.; increased attention to the adolescent as a person.
