Abstract

The proposed article highlights the mental health factors of preschool children during the age crisis, which are considered from the standpoint of the principle of systemicity in the understanding of the concept of health at three main levels: biological, psychological, and social.

The purpose of this article is to deepen the conceptual foundations of the study of mental health of preschoolers and to present it as an integral entity, which should be considered from the standpoint of a systemic approach. The task is to study the factors that determine the mental health of preschool children during the age crisis.

The authors characterise the conditions for solving crisis situations in order to preserve mental health in preschool children. It has been proven that one of the main factors in maintaining a child's mental health during a crisis is emotional support by adults, and one of the basic principles of building a trusting relationship between parents and a child is the principle of acceptance.

In the conclusions, as an argument of significance, the creation of a complex approach, which should combine both psychohygiene and psychoprophylaxis, is singled out as the most promising.
