Abstract

The article analyzes the role of psychoeducation as a resource for supporting personal well-being
in conditions of social development uncertainty, presents and substantiates the content-functional model
of psychoeducation in conditions of social development uncertainty. The definition of psychoeducation is
explained as a direction of professional activity of a psychologist (teacher, social worker, etc.), which consists
of providing systematic, scientifically based knowledge about the regularities of the functioning of the
human psyche and behaviour in order to form or deepen the ability to manage the capabilities of one’s own

psyche, as well as the readiness and desire to receive professional psychological help if necessary. The content
of the informational, value-motivational, regulatory and preventive functions of psychoeducation is presented.
It has been proven that in conditions of social development uncertainty, it is for the individual not just as a source
of knowledge about the psyche, but a means for reducing anxiety, increasing control, building resilience,
preserving the quality of life, and supporting personal well-being. The content of the preventive, supportive
and developmental directions of implementing psychoeducation in conditions of uncertainty, which work
in the dynamics of psychological assistance, is characterized: before the problem arises, during life’s difficulties and
after overcoming acute crisis experiences. It has been proven that the result of psychoeducation at the individual
psychological level is the formation of productive coping strategies, crystallization of life values, development
of resilience, improvement of mental health, well-being and quality of life of the individual; at the societal level —
this is increasing the psychological literacy of society, optimizing interpersonal interaction, mitigating collective
trauma, and reducing the stigmatization of mental disorders.
